Leather Sweatpants

Sweatpants, well to be honest I was never really a big fan of them. They are comfortable, yes I totally agree with that, but to me they were never really appealing. The amazing head of Chanel Karl Lagerfeld once said, “ Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life, so you bough some sweatpants.” I agreed with him on this quote for the longest time, yet recently I had a change in mind.

In my last trip to the states over the Christmas break, I was shopping at Marshals (the American version of Winners), and as I was strolling through piles of clothing I found this pair of faux leather sweatpants that caught my eye, I’ve seen leather sweatpants on many celebrities and fashion bloggers lately, so I gave them a try. They felt weird to be honest, but I feel head over heals over them. They were really comfortable yet the looked so chic, and all that I could think of was how to style them, because they could be styled in some many different ways.

Leather sweatpants are Kanye West’s revolution. He approached Fendi about 7 year ago and they refused the idea completely.  Yet know they are spreading widely for both men’s and women’s in all different colors. American fashion designer Alexander wang had leather sweatpants in every color in this New York Fashion week.Their price ranges from $1,700 in Barnyes New York found here to $ 24.95 in H&M found here.

In this post I am wearing my black faux leather sweatpants, with my newsiest obsession faux fur (I will write a post on it soon), and I paired them with my black nike free runs to give the look a more casual feel. What do you guys think?
